Same idea as myspace...except...it's called Bebo?
A bit different in terms of customization.

The process is well laid out, the dimensions are provided. I downloaded the images from the example and used them as templates. Images get uploaded and the skin is available for preview or use.
The skin can be restricted to the users profile only and appears in My Favourite Skins list, or it can be available to anyone. It can even be a potential featured skin...! Same as 2, but also featured in our skin charts. All skins must be approved by Bebo staff before appearing. Only about 1% of skins are selected.. Sounds great
The stylesheet is editable as well although all pages seems to be stuck with a white background tsk tsk but I'm a newbie so consider me ignorant.

Bebo is crawling with kiddies. It may not compare to myspace because its lack of demographic diversity. Bebo now has a band section so that may open things up a bit. Or it may be overrun by kiddies with guitars.

I used the Gimp...well the Gimp's gradient tool at least
The purple lines at the bottom of the main image are accidental but groovy as hell... 20 minutes for the whole shebang...A good start anyway. To the Gimp thread!
Note the Gimp is also listed at the bottom of the bebo spec page as a helpful tool.
