To upload an image to your blog folder find the upload button near the bottom right hand of the edit blog page.
You may need to press a small green plus sign, this becomes a minus sign indicating that if it is clicked again it will close the small pane.
Once you click on the upload button a popup will appear to allow you browse your desktop.
A thumbnail will appear in a pane for each successful uploaded image. Once the images are in your folder you can then insert one at the cursor point by double clicking on the chosen image thumbnail
